I occasionally use affiliate links in my posts and communications, indicating them with * when possible.
Image Links
Due to technical limitations, the link attached to an image may not identify it is an affiliate link in the image, but is accompanied by a text link that is identified.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a link to a product or service that identifies the website, communication, etc. where the user clicked that link.
When you click an affiliate link in one of my communications or posts, I may receive a monetary reward for that click or for purchases resulting from that click.
What is the cost to you?
There is no cost to you when you click on one of my affiliate links.
Why I use Affiliate Links
I am an author, editor, narrator, and game designer, not a retailer of other products and services.
The money I might receive from affiliations are a very minor contributor to my earnings.
However, earnings from affiliations might help me meet my earnings needs and goals.
Example of an Affiliate Link
When I promote a book or series that I have read and is available on Amazon, I might use an affiliate link.
Who are my affiliates (generally)?
I will only use affiliate links for providers of products or services related to my mission as a reader, author, narrator, and game designer.

Tracking Links vs Affiliate Links
I often use tracking links that identify that you clicked on the link from one of my posts or communications.
I do not receive earnings from tracking links and they are not identified.
Why I Use Tracking Links
Tracking links help me know what interests my readers most in a post or communication.
Tracking links help me know which subscribers interact with a communication, so I can re-engage or remove subscribers who appear to be no longer interested in those communications.
Tracking links let other products or services know that I have promoted their offering.
Examples of a Tracking Link
When I promote another author’s work, I use a tracking link so they know I have promoted their work.
When I send an email, most of the links are tracked by my mailing service, so I can manage my content to meet subscriber expectations.
